The Great Leicester Ghost Hunt

This Halloween Leicester has been taken over by a host of spooky spirits there`s Lost Roman Legionnaires at Jewry Wall Museum and Ady Demon `s doing a Night Shift at BBC Radio Leicester , whats that apparition on the walls of the Guildhall ( Leicester`s Oldest Building ). Over at Cocoa Amore the Jungle drums are beating out a spooky rhythm as ancient spirits are stirring once again. Mischievous goblins are messing with time in the workings of the famous St Martins Square clock . The spirits of Vikings are haunting the Highcross beacons and over at the Grand Hotel the Paranormal Porter might just take your soul along with your bags !. On a side mission there is some questionable real estate goul have to put down more than the usual deposit to secure. Waiting for the Night Bus ( route 666 ) at the LCB depot is a lineup that would give any Crypt Crew a fright. Back at Highcross the beacons are now showing a collection of Halloween shapes in bright colours illuminating t...

Diwali In Leicester - River Of Light

Diwali in Leicester is known as one of the biggest celebrations outside of India itself and with the famous Golden Mile illuminated with thousands of colourful lights the celebrations got even bigger in 2025 with events across the city. One such event was the River Of Light at  @LeicesterOutdoorPursuit  with water craft of all types illuminated as they paddled, rowed, and boarded their way along the river celebrating the festival of lights in a unique, new and spectacular way that has much potential to become a much loved and regular part of celebrations in years to come. my film starts as the light fades and we see the preparations are underway riverside for the parade, meanwhile in the centre as visitors arrive under a rainbow archway, a multi coloured waterfall of light is surrounded by canoes offering a beautiful Diwali picture opportunity. Later it`s back to the river for the parade and the water becomes a vibrant mix of coloured lights on canoes and paddle boards...

Sirens: Songs Of Sisterhood - Journeys Festival International

In Sirens: Songs Of Sisterhood by  @liminalcreative1567  seven rock-like forms transform as you wander through them with watery hues and hidden voices a ever changing soundscape is created around you. The piece is inspired by the views of women in global society, seen through the lens of ancient mythology. This special Leicester edition is shaped by the voices and experiences of a local women's group. My film the second from this years #JourneysFestivalInternational by  @_ArtReach  begins with  @LeicesterCathedral  bells ringing as we turn to see the artwork installed in the gardens, as we explore the stones the various sounds of the women's voices mix with the sound of crows and the Cathedrals own resident Peregrines. As we take a closer look at the markings on the stones we experience, through the magic of editing, Day turning to night and the piece taking on an even more otherworldly form in the darkness the rocks now glow as the voices become ...

And…Breathe, By Pif-Paf -Journeys Festival International

AND...BREATHE By Pif-Paf is an immersive sound and light installation exploring Breath, Breathing both alone and together and encourages interaction and mindfulness. The artists invite you to take a moment and step into a world of light, sound and connection. In my film I explore the piece initially by day but more deeply at an evening "Twilight Session" in which the lighting in the cathedral is lowered to give the lights on the piece more prominence and create a even more immersive experience, with King Richard III`s final resting place alongside the atmosphere and setting is certainly one of contemplation. The piece responds to the movement of people etc as they move through the space and through its arches neatly mirroring the arches of the cathedrals architecture.

Following a summer in the city for the Stomp Round Leicester trail (see previous video https://youtu.be/6y_U-KduAzk?si=iHLyxxtkJVXzhVsv) the heard stomped home to the  @LOROSHospice  and gathered together for a farewell weekend, giving visitors a chance to see the spectacular sight of all the Elephants from baby to full sized together in one location. The  @wildinart  trail has been enthralling Leicester residents and those who came to  @visitleicester  during the summer months.
