2019 saw the 50th anniversary of the apollo moon landings meaning many of my films had a space theme, from The Leicester City Festival in the summer with it’s out of this world theme to The Outer Space Bricklive trail and the Overview Effect projections, in 2019 Leicester looked to the Moon. It was also the year exhibition MODS Shaping A Generation opened at Leicester`s New Walk Museum and Leicesters MODS turned out in large numbers on opening day to give it their seal of approval. Street Art again featured heavily with Bring The Paint 2019 transforming many of the cities walls and the legal street art zone in St Margarets underpass opening. Art of a historic type featured when a famous portrait of King Richard III visited New Walk museum on loan from the National Portrait Gallery in London as part of their homecoming project.
