  SKB, Syston Knitting Banksy is back with a truly spectacular topper for #stgeorgesday 2026! The topper outside the Syston Methodist Church is a sight to behold, featuring an impressive dragon standing proudly beside St George himself. Some might say the artwork ‘Totally Slays’, but such a cute dragon deserves a better fate, in my opinion. We kick off the video with two Syston visitors chatting about the topper as they pass by. ‘It’s not till tomorrow…’ ‘What’s not till tomorrow?’ ‘St George’s Day…’ Then, we dive into the creation, admiring its friendly look and big green eyes. As village life goes on around them, St George and his legendary big green foe keep a watchful eye from their unique community-funded postbox top.

To celebrate the return of the #ArtimisII mission to Earth, Syston artist SKB ( Syston Knitting Banksy ) teamed up with Aardman Animations Wallace & Gromit to create a special topper. This topper features the duo and their famous red rocket, which they used to visit the Moon to try moon cheese —a scene from their short film, A Grand Day Out .

  A short film looking at the various ways Leicester City Fans said #GoodByeGoat to ​⁠LCFC 's Jamie Vardy. The legend or "GOAT" (Greatest Of All Time) played his last game in a Foxes shirt on Sunday 18th May 2025 on his 500th appearance for the club against Ipswich scoring his 200th goal. We begin at the ​⁠ @highcrossleicester Shopping Center where BBC Radio Leicester had partnered with local street art collective @Graffwerk to create a "leaving card" which Fans where able to sign and leave messages for the player. Next we arrive at the ​⁠ @kingpowerofficial stadium where the #VardyParty is well underway with flags proclaiming #ThankYouVards and #GoodbyeGoat is displayed on screen as the famous Post Horn Gallop is almost drowned out by chants from thee crowd of "ooh, Jamie Vardy". After the game a guard of honour featuring players from across #vardy`s time at the club is formed as he enters the pitch to thank the fans and receive a special presentatio...

Calling International Rescue...Calling International Rescue... SKB is FAB !. For International Thunderbirds Day 2024 Syston`s own knitting Banksy rendered International Rescue`s big green pod carrying giant Thunderbird 2 in yarn on a postbox topper. The FAB creation features the famous rescue vehicle in position standing by for action atop the postbox outside the post office in  Syston. Around the topper are featured vintage badges from the 80`s & 90`s, a reminder of childhood birthdays for many. After display the topper will be making a short flight to the Oasis Lounge in Leicester for a Thunderbirds Cult Classics Event on October 2nd 2024. 

The amazingly talented SKB or Syston Knitting Banksy brings us a postbox topper featuring the Leicester City Squad who where crowned champions of the Sky Bet Championship in 2024 after a 3-0 win away at Preston.  Each member of the squad has been rendered in knitted form and is seen wearing their #lçfc  king power kit around a sign reading "Champions". #StraightBackUp

The Syston Knitting Banksy (SKB) returns with another spectacular creation. The elusive Syston Knitting Banksy or SKB regularly creates knitted artworks related to current events and to mark special occasions. With King Charles III upcoming coronation the artist has depicted the new king on his throne with Crown, Orb and Sceptre atop a postbox in the village of Syston in Leicestershire. Full of accurate details the piece features recreations of the St Edward's Crown used in the Coronation service itself, the Golden cloak which represents the Robe Royal and featuring the national emblems of the UK. The chair is a wooly duplicate of the coronation chair commissioned by Edward 1st in 1296, it also features a gray area representing the "Stone Of Scone" used for centuries in the coronation of scottish monarchs.
