I took a visit to Shenton Station on the Battlefield Line whilst filming the Winter Warmer Gala and found Station Glass at Shenton Station. Station Glass which is housed in the station buildings is the workshop and shop of Kayleigh Young who was busy at the hot furnace creating her speciality glass memorials which contain the ashes of a well loved Pet encased in a glass memorial of the animal, be it dog, cat, rabbit or other Kayleigh creates unique one off works commissioned by the owners as a lasting memory of animal companions who have passed. The film begins looking at some of the works Kayleigh has created and offers for sale in her shop, before we join the artist at the furnace to follow the skilled process of creating a heart shaped memorial containing the ashes of a loved pet cat and featuring blue and white swirls. As part of the winter warmer weekend at the Battlefield Line a display by model railway groups of layouts and stalls selling models etc is held in the engine sheds. My film features a look at the event and a layout based on a welsh mining village with a yellow diesel and early steam engine working the rails. The small engines speed around the oval layout as visitors watch on with the steam engine emitting actual steam !.

January brings the Winter Warmer Weekend to the Battlefield Line and a host of visiting engines including 6880 "Betton Grange", 1369, 71468 "Fred" and 2807. My film starts at Shenton Station where 2807 and 6880 "Betton Grange" arrive before recouping and heading back along the line to Market Bosworth where we meet 1369 and 71480 "Fred" in full steam.

The Leicestershire Cyclocross League comes to Grace Dieu Priory for the first time and with a fresh dusting of snow the course looks particularly spectacular. We start the film at the ruins of the Grace Dieu Priory an independent Augustinian priory near Thringstone in Leicestershire, England. It was founded around 1235-1241 by Roesia de Verdun and dissolved in 1538. It was dedicated to the Holy Trinity and St Mary. We turn toward the course and see some riders preparing, The bikes are cleaned and checked before we head to the start where riders names are called before they make their way to the Start line itself and away they go onto the varied and challenging course along the way they face various obstacles including the weather conditions, is that a snowman watching the action ?.The film ends at the finish line where the riders pass the chequered flag and get their times. 

Join the bonkers crazy festive fundraising fun of the Archers Festive tractor run through South Leicestershire. The Annual Charity run sees hundreds of tractors, decorated with lights and decorations, lead a procession though the streets of South Leicestershire in a fundraiser for LOROS Hospice, The Leicestershire MS Therapy Centre, RABI and the Farm Safety Foundation. We join the tractors first as they enter, horns blaring and lights shining, into Cosby village passing the Yarnbomb as seen in my previous film, before then catching them further along the route in Countesthorpe, both villages with a great turn out of people to cheer them along and join in the festive fun. As the sounds of the horns fade we see the crowds disperse till next year when the festive spectacle will roll again though the villages of Leicestershire.
