Narrowboats Through Crick Tunnel

This short film features various Narrowboats as they enter and exit the south end of the Crick Tunnel on the Grand Union Canal. Part of the Leicester line of the Grand Union Canal the Crick Tunnel runs close to the south-east of the village of Crick and has a length of 1,528 yards (1397m).

Springtime Flowers

A warm sunny Sunday in Springtime bursts into a riot of colour as flowers finally get a chance to put on a display after unseasonably cold weather griped the UK during the start of the year. In my short film the Daffodils and Tulips shine as they look up to a blue cloudless sky soaking up the sunlight that has been hidden for so long behind stormy snow clouds, The Bees and a Bombyliidae or Bee fly hovers like a humming bird using his long needle like mouth to drink the pollen from the flowers as the temperature rises, could spring finally be on its way ?.

Ceunant Mawr Waterfall - Llanberis Wales

At the foot of Mt Snowdon is Ceunant Mawr Waterfall otherwise known as Llanberis Falls the waterfall plunges over a hundred feet in two stages into a gorge. My film features the stunning natural beauty of the area and some of its wildlife with little birds drinking from the flowing water and a sheep !.

A Brief Visit to Lille

Whilst visiting Northern France to film the Paris - Roubaix bike race I had a chance for a brief stop in Lille. The largest city in French Flanders Lille old town is known for its characterful 17th century buildings with various wrought iron signs and traditional narrow streets opening into larger open squares making the area well worth a visit. Look out for the upside down house and the Vieille Bourse (Old stock exchange), built from 1652 to 1653 This building is made up of 24 little houses around an arched courtyard. A second-hand book market as well as chess players can be seen inside.

The Paris - Roubaix Bike Race - April 2013

My film features the professional (and dusty !) Paris - Roubaix Bike Race which took place in April 2013 and was filmed at various locations along the route in France. The Race takes place (as its name suggests) on a route between Paris and Roubaix in northern France and is famous for its rough terrain and cobblestones which often cause riders to fall and gives the race its nickname of 'The Hell of the North & 'A Sunday in Hell'. The event was first run in 1896 and as one of cycling's oldest races draws large crowds from many country's. The race was created by two Roubaix textile manufacturers, Théodore Vienne and Maurice Perez.

Springtime Snow At The Snowdon Mountain Railway

My Video features the unique scenes on The Snowdon Mountain Railway yesterday after heavy springtime snowfall had caused the initial closure of the line. The Railway`s staff have worked hard to cut through the huge snowdrifts and get the line operational again leaving deep snow lined corridors for the trains to pass through and creating spectacular scenes rare to Springtime in the UK.

Wales Scenery - Spring 2013

My Short film features some of the spectacular scenery on offer on a visit to Wales. Waking up at 4am we travelled to Wales where we where met by the spectacular snow topped mountains of the Snowdonia national park and high snowdrifts on either side of the road. Lit by the early morning sun and set against a deep blue sky you would be forgiven for thinking we where in the Alps.
