  I visited The Visionary Landscape of Professor Sir Robert Burgess, Sculpture in the garden exhibition which takes place at the University of Leicester Botanic gardens in Oadby, Leicester from 15th June to 26th October 2014. My short film features selected works on display at the 2014 exhibition with a theme of The Visionary Landscape.

I visited the Wartime Weekend at the Great Central Railways Quorn and Woodhouse station where a large selection of vintage vehicles,demonstrations and characters from the era where amongst the attractions on offer.  The GCR Wartime weekend features a number of events along the railway and visitors have the opportunity to meet actors playing characters from the era including Sir Winston Churchill, his cabinet and many displays accurately re-creating Wartime Britain.  The event also includes a remembrance service and a poppy drop. (make sure to keep watching after the credits for a special extra).

In this video I visit The Leicester Riverside Festival which takes place annually in Leicester in Bede Park along the Mile straight, Western Boulevard and in Castle Gardens. The event is one of Leicester`s biggest free festivals and features activity's both on the water and on land including samba bands (Sambando) and street performances from performers such as Octopus Ocean. Along the River Soar (Mile Straight) various decorated narrow boats are moored and food served (Barge Burger), Riverside attractions include Jazz music from Jazz On The River a floating band who travel up and down the river as they play and a chance to try various water sports such as canoeing and coracle boating.
