Khun Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha Memorial Garden Opening Day

A look around the Khun Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha Memorial Garden on opening day. On the one year anniversary of the tragic helicopter crash that claimed the lives of Leicester City Chairman Khun Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha his Pilot co-pilot, and several members of his staff, the football club opened a memorial garden for fans and anyone wishing to reflect and remember. We begin by entering the garden alongside the first few fans and lay tributes beneath framed portraits of Khun Vichai and those who lost their lives before following the path around the garden taking in some of the various topiary and other features of the garden. My film ends at the well marking the spot where the helicopter came down.

Poster designed for Leicester Charity Menphys promoting their annual open garden event at Belvoir Lodge in July. My design is type lead and whilst formal in layout the poster has an deliberate handmade arts and crafts feel to it reflecting the rural nature of the events location.

Garden Party Poster - Menphys

Designed for a charity Garden Party held in aid of Leicester based charity Menphys this poster (designed by me) uses a Retro 1950`s style typeface and pastel colour scheme. At the base of the poster I have used negative space to suggest grass, The design also features two ladybirds sitting on both the letter G and atop the box containing the main event details they look toward each other as if they are engaged in conversation at a party. I have included a QR code at the bottom of the poster linking to a map allowing people to receive directions to the event using their smartphone.

Belvoir Lodge Open Gardens poster 2012

Designed for a charity fundraising event at Belvior Lodge this poster is primarily typeface lead with an Art Deco style header and a sans serif typeface for the additional information to giving it a formal but playful style. The text is crowned by sketched flowers (as one may see above an entry gate to an open garden) and features various small birds perched amoungst the foliage, a mother and child bird can be seen on the bottom left alongside the words accompanied children free. The poster uses a justified layout for the text allowing for lots of information to be presented in a clear and easily read form and highlighting the main points.

Christmas at Covent Garden

Christmas at Covent Garden was filmed on 18th December 2011 at London's Covent Garden Market. The Market had been decked with giant baubles and mirror balls that threw snow like points of light around the historic buildings arches and upon the crowds who where taking in the festive atmosphere. Outside the main market area stood a giant topiary reindeer and Christmas tree with a large red bow tied around its wooden base, these festive icons where accompanied by the hustle of visitors taking in the performances of the multitude of street performers the area is famous for. A unique aroma of deep yellow Paella and sweet Chestnuts roasting on an open fire filled our senses in the second hall whist an opera singer serenaded a gathering crowd. The famous Apple market selling (despite its name) sold an eclectic selection of craft items from photographs of typical English scenes to the usual London bus tourist souvenirs. Using the map on my phone we took a brief diversion around the near...
