A look at the festive atmosphere outside the King Power Stadium ahead of the Leicester City v Norwich City Premier league match played on the 14th December 2019. My film features the Enderby Band playing Christmas favorites and santa's reindeer outside the ground at a game that also saw free mince pies and santa hats being handed out to fans attending the last game before christmas.

I take a look at the annual Christmas Toys & Steam Day held at Leicester Museums Abbey Pumping Station. Featuring Meccano creations of every conceivable type and model railway layouts of various gauges. These are the toys young and old dreamt of finding under the tree on christmas mornings though the decades.

The Highcross Shopping Center was transformed into a Futuristically Fabulous setting for Winter Galactical. Featuring Interstellar Storm who start the show with an bang of their thundering rhythms. Next in from a galaxy far away is Titan The Robot whos landed on earth to celebrate his favorite holiday with the humans. we end with the High Heeled Spaceships with their mirrored outfits and skyscraper high heels. also featured in the images are Boogie Storm.

In December 2018 the serene gardens of #Leicester #Cathedral where bathed in lights of many colors, a large 4 meter wide inflatable globe glowing with intense colors and projected imagery sits in the lawns with the imposing cathedral its backdrop, this is the world of LightWeight. A unique and interactive art installation this sphere is the centerpiece of Christmas in the Gardens a specially commissioned twilight show to enchant people of all ages. Video and animation effects spin magically around the surface of the globe with portraits of visitors captured by a camera booth on-site turned into a flock angels or animated characters. Christmas in the Gardens is brought to you by BID Leicester And St Martins House it is produced by Big Difference Company.

In the second of my films documenting Christmas in Leicester I take a look at events in the center around the clock tower and town hall square. We start by the clock tower where we see the tree in all its glory equaling and maybe surpassing the famous clock in height and grandeur. A fairy shows us her magical levitating globe, before we visit town hall square where we meet once again the snow queen and her neon birds navigating the town hall steps. The beautiful and elegant  Christmas Belles are nearby balancing on stilts and meeting visitors whilst the instantly recognizable (to many a Leicester resident) Seasons Greetings lights flash behind fixed to the Queen Anne style town hall.  

Are you dreaming of a white Christmas ?, The dream came true on 22nd November in St Peters Square in Leicester`s Highcross Shopping Center as it came to life with a White Christmas event featuring Dancing Snowflakes, Russian Princesses, Giant Swans an Animatronic Reindeer and even a Snow Dragon. My film features highlights of the event and aims to get you in the festive spirit. it's #ChristmasInLeicester

I visited Leicester`s first dedicated Christmas Market in the city's New Market Square to sample the fabulous festive food, Bountiful beverages and festive fun on offer. Open every day from 23rd November to 23rd December 2017 we see stalls offering Mulled wine, artisan crafts, traditional German sausages and even Turkish delight sweets.

It`s #ChristmasInLeicester and here`s a look at events as the city`s Christmas lights are switched on. We start at the Highcross #Frostival outside the Urban Antidote art gallery where we meet the Ice Prince and Princess and follow them as they roam St Peters Square freezing all they come across. We then discover the White Queen`s magical giant Snow Lion on the prowl but don`t worry he`s friendly and even does selfies !. The action then moves to the Clock Tower where Leicestershire Fire and Rescue service bring Rudolph and a well known bearded and red suited gentleman in his sleigh to spread some festive cheer. Next up its over to New Market Square for a brief look at the #Leicester Christmas market before returning to Highcross for a cultured end to the evening with Sophie Adams Ballet Company performing the "Best Bits" of the Ballet Swan Lake.
