Leigh984, The creative portfolio of Leigh Spencer

I visited the Great Central Railway`s Quorn & Woodhouse station to step back in time and experience a traditional country steam fayre at the Easter Vintage Festival. The event features traction engines, traditional fairground rides like the steam powered Gallopers, Ferris wheel, fairground organs, classic and hot rod cars. My film aims to give a taste of the events atmosphere and features a look around the event ending with a performance by "Greengrass" on his banjo.

As part of the launch weekend for the Mods Shaping a Generation exhibition at New Walk Museum in Leicester, several scooter groups from the region and beyond met at the counting house pub before a mass ride out to the Museum, to display their customized scooters to the public. My film begins outside the counting house where the mods congregated ready for the short ride out to the museum. Soon with the familiar sound of their engines filling our ears and the smell of 2 stroke they arrive outside the locally famous columned frontage of the New Walk Museum where crowds had gathered to see the spectacle and maybe reminisce of past experiences.

I was commissioned by friends of Newbold Verdon to produce a poster for a local fashion show at the Library in the village,  The poster uses a style I`ve used for the regular film nights at the venue but expands it to include branding from Edinburgh woolen mill who are providing the clothing for the show.
