A look around the Khun Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha Memorial Garden on opening day. On the one year anniversary of the tragic helicopter crash that claimed the lives of Leicester City Chairman Khun Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha his Pilot co-pilot, and several members of his staff, the football club opened a memorial garden for fans and anyone wishing to reflect and remember. We begin by entering the garden alongside the first few fans and lay tributes beneath framed portraits of Khun Vichai and those who lost their lives before following the path around the garden taking in some of the various topiary and other features of the garden. My film ends at the well marking the spot where the helicopter came down.

Part of the One Giant Leap festival in Leicester, Overview Effect is a outdoor spectacle celebrating the achievements of the 1969 Apollo 11 moon landing. After the saturn rockets launch we join the astronauts on the surface of the moon, in doing so we appreciate their shift in understanding about the fragile planet we live on. The film, projected onto the back of Leicester`s historic Corn Exchange, asks us to celebrate what the human race can do but also asks the cost of the problems we chose to ignore. With climate change a "HOT TOPIC ISSUE" right now Metro Boulot Dodo`s film is as relevant today as when the apollo astronauts set foot on the moons surface 50 years ago.

2019 marks 50 years since the Apollo missions #OneGiantLeapLeicester festival celebrates this anniversary with a number of events around the city. The Outer-Space trail by BRICKLIVE® takes visitors on a Space Race of their own to locate 15 LEGO® Brick Models of various rockets astronauts and more placed throughout the city centre. Put on your moon boots and blast off as we rub shoulders with Lego Neil Armstrong in Highcross, See the Space Shuttle ready for lift off at New Walk Museum and see the entire planet earth at the King Richard III visitor centre. There's lots to see and my film only shows a few of the pieces so your mission, should you chose to accept it, is to boldly go and find all 15 pieces.

A disused toilet block on Townsend Road in the center of the Leicestershire village of Enderby has been transformed with a Street Art/Mural piece by artists Rebecca Bromley and Ellie-Rose. Enderby Mission Church and Enderby Parish Council commissioned the work depicting various scenes from Enderby`s History after securing a grant from the Enderby Co-op 'Local Community Causes' fund. The artists met with Enderby Heritage Group and explored ideas for the work. The main (front) of the building depicts the pink/red brick houses of enderby and quarrymen returning home from work at the quarry, the background depicting the roads that the quarry stone was used to construct. The right-hand side wall contains images of quarry trucks or 'hoppers' a competition was held for residents to create a design for the side of each truck which attracted entries from a wide age range.  the left-hand wall depicts a 'frame knitter' at her loom using local wool to create product...
