Sunflowers At Sunset - Norton Juxta Blooms

I took a visit to Norton Juxta Blooms directly opposite @TwycrossZoo in Leicestershire to see their spectacular Sunflower field, we made the visit at Sunset so as the sun slid below the horizon the field started to glow deep yellow and oranges. We also had an unexpected flypast by some Para motors which took off from an adjacent field flying low over the Sunflowers adding to the special atmosphere. In this film i explore the field finding a bright blue tractor contrasting against the Yellow flowers and exploring the maze of paths throughout, as the sun sinks lower the Sunflowers seem to be soaking up the last few rays and bow their heads till sunrise tomorrow. please see the Norton Juxta Blooms website for opening times and a special thanks to the team there for allowing us to film after hours.

Pumpkin Picking At Cattows Farm - Leicestershire

I went Pumpkin Picking at Cattows Farm in Leicestershire to find the perfect Pumpkin for Halloween. The green field was dotted with bursts of bright orange color and crisscrossed with people of all ages searching for and selecting the perfect prize Pumpkin for their spooktacular creations. With wheelbarrows laden with Pumpkin of every colour, size and conceivable shape we made our way back to the farm shop to pay and maybe indulge in some treats from the suitably decorated tea room. The Fernie Hunt - Boxing Day 2013 - Great Bowden

I visited the village of Great Bowden in Leicestershire to see the Fernie Hunt. the annual event begins with the horses and hounds leaving the kennels and travelling to the village green where they are greeted by many spectators. The festive meet allows a chance to see the horses, hounds and talk with their owners about the rich history of the event which also raises money for many local charity's and groups. The horses and hounds follow a sent trail on a planed route around the local countryside laid by a quad bike and bird of prey before retiring back to the kennels at the end of the day. Images follow.
