Luxmuralis returned to  @LeicesterCathedral  with their show The Elements following the success of SPACE Luxmuralis gave visitors the chance to witness fiery volcanoes, be immersed in the oceans whilst remaining dry !, and take to the skies. Watch as the natural world evolves around you. be enveloped by each element and witness the transformation of Leicester Cathedral as we contemplate our planet and the environment in which we live. Starting outside the cathedral we enter through the new porch into the darkened cathedral where we are greeted and told about the instalation by the team. As we approach the first part we see birds flying around and the collums and arches of the cathedral illuminated in blues and reds. moving through the cathedral we reach King Richard III`s tomb which is lit a deep red and the wall in front of his grave features a lava themed projection representing a volcano erupting with related sound effects.   AND...BREATHE By Pif-Paf is an immersive sound and light installation exploring Breath, Breathing both alone and together and encourages interaction and mindfulness. The artists invite you to take a moment and step into a world of light, sound and connection. In my film I explore the piece initially by day but more deeply at an evening "Twilight Session" in which the lighting in the cathedral is lowered to give the lights on the piece more prominence and create a even more immersive experience, with King Richard III`s final resting place alongside the atmosphere and setting is certainly one of contemplation. The piece responds to the movement of people etc as they move through the space and through its arches neatly mirroring the arches of the cathedrals architecture.  

   I visited Corby Hazel and Thoroughsale woods to witness artist @lukejerram7742 's emotive piece #TippingPoint. The work created to simulate a forest fire raging uses smoke lights and and immersive soundtrack to bring the horrors of this natural disaster to life for visitors. In collaboration with award winning composers Dan Jones and Simon Birch the artwork includes an immersive soundtrack which includes audio of trees burning, chainsaws whirring, animals running and birds flying away, to bring the reality of deforestation to life. As I explore the explore the piece we also hear peoples recorded experiences of real forest fires. We see the strange juxtaposition of visitors taking photos with their phones whilst the forest seemingly burns around them !. Tipping Point was commissioned by University of Bristol Botanic Garden and the charity Make My Money Matter.  

  A look at the Mini-Elephants part of Stomp Round Leicester by ‪LOROS Hospice‬ and Wild In Art on display ‪Fosse Park‬. Featuring designs by Greg Davis, Stephen Graham, Hannah Walters, and more, dazzling designs by celebs and artists including Rockett St George, Lucy Tiffny, Charlie Clapham, and a very fashionable creation by BBC EMT’s own ‪@Anne Davis The Elephants where on display outside ‪Next one of Stomp Round Leicester`s main partners and caught the attention of shoppers as they passed a moment like the Elephants they will never forget maybe !. The film begins at a busy Food Central with shoppers stopping to see the Elephants on the hard to miss bright yellow Loros stand. As we view the display of colourful creations Loros Events Lead Andrew Ward tells us all about the trail through the city from 14th July until 21st September 2025. I  take a look at newly completed street art in Leicestershire detailing the histories and brightening up the built environment in the towns of South Wigston, Wigston and Oadby . We start in South Wigston with a mural featuring Orson Wright a man credited with building most of the town in the 19th century, commissioned by Oadby & Wigston Borough Council (OWBC) and designed in collaboration with the Greater Wigston Historical Society (GWHS), the design features steam engines representing the railways, factory workers and biscuit production companies like Jacobs Biscuits that made the town famous throughout the world. On too Wigston now and a mural painted on the side of the Air Ambulance Charity shop and featuring a wide selection of local figures and local history from the Air Ambulance itself to the Kilby Lock, St Wistan and the Framework Knitters Museum among others.
