Drive-It For Rainbows Hospice

The North Leicester MG Club met for a day run through the lanes of East Leicestershire celebrating the scrapping of road tax on classic vehicles and raising money for local charity the Rainbows Hospice For Children and Young People in Loughborough. I caught up with them at the end of the run in the Gates Garden Centre car park at Cold Overton. The classic cars all maintained to a gleaming finish by their owners looked spectacular in a variety of colours lined up in the parking bays. There where more than just MG cars too with a number of Morris Minors and even a classic white Jaguar on show.

Verdonbury Five - Newbold Verdon

The Leicestershire village of Newbold Verdon held its annual "Verdonbury" event on the 7th July 2018 featuring Duck agility performers the K9 Quackers, Classic Cars, a Funfair, Wigston Brass Band, ferret racing and Falconry displays among the attractions. Now in its 5th year the event organised by Newbold Verdon Community Action Group is as popular as ever and was well attended, whether this was down to the added attraction of an England World Cup game being shown on a big screen in the beer tent is a discussion is for another time but is certainly the reason the Wigston band end this film with a rendition of the national anthem.

Verdonbury 4 - Newbold Verdon - Leicestershire

Verdonbury (so called due to its proximity in date to the famous Glastonbury music festival) takes place in the Leicestershire village of Newbold Verdon annually and features a varied programme of entertainment and stalls. 2017's event featured performances from The Sealed Knot - Lord Thomas Grey`s regiment of Foote The Newbold Equestrian Centre A Classic Car Display Nuneaton Dog Training Club and The Wigston Band. My film aims to bring you a taste of the event starting with the opening by the Sealed Knot before taking in the classic cars and horse displays.
