Celebrations for Chinese New Year In Leicester came to a finale on 8th February 2020 with an event in Leicester`s Humberstone Gate, The event featured arts, workshops, tai chi, Martial Arts Demos and more and ended with a traditional Lion Dance featuring two dragons at the clock tower. My film aims to capture the atmosphere of the day and features some highlights of the many performers at the event. Please do not try to replicate the martial arts shown in this video, they are performed here by professionals who have trained for many hours to perfect the art and perform it safely. Event was created by Amanda Leandro and Cosmopolitan Arts, in partnership with DMU and the Confucius Institute Leicester. Funded by the Arts Council, Big Lottery and BID Leicester and supported by Leicester City Council.

The Van Gogh Immersive Experience allows visitors to the exhibition to step into the artists work in a projected immersive experience. Explore the artists work as never before, enter the world of his paintings, from deep blue skies above yellow fields of corn to starry nights filled with lanterns. The exhibition uses cutting edge 360 degree projectors and digital animation alongside music to create an atmosphere that allows the viewer to step into the mind of the artist and his world. You can also step into the artist's well known bedroom painting recreated in real life and his series of vase paintings.
