My short film joins several pro-cyclists as they arrive at The Oueen Elizabeth Olympic Park for the inaugural Prudential Ride London-Surrey Classic bike race which took place on 4th August 2013. After crossing the start line the cyclists followed a 140 mile variation on the London 2012 Olympic Road Cycling Race route through 12 London boroughs and the county of Surrey with a finish line on the Mall in central London. My film concludes with the race winner Arnaud Demare taking to the podium with Buckingham Palace and The Mall bathed in orange evening sunlight as his backdrop. A spectators eye view of the Men's Olympic cycling road race as Bradley Wiggins and Team GB lead the Peloton up Strawbell slope, The slope is part of the National Trusts Zig Zag road at Box Hill in Surrey. My short film shows only a small section of the whole course which started and finished on the mall in the centre of London, The cyclists completing 9 laps of the Box Hill course as part of the bigger race. Keep a look out for Richard Long's art work 'The Road River' painted onto the road beneath the cyclists.
