Hinckley BID Motor Show 15th Anniversary

The Annual HinckleyBID⁩ Motor Show came to the town on 20th September, and with 2026, the show reached the milestone of its 15th anniversary. Welcoming over 700 vehicles, the show was a petrol heads’ paradise with much-loved cars, bikes, scooters, and more from across the decades lining Castle Street, Market Place, and more, including Argents Mead Park and the town’s leisure centre. Next, it’s through the gates into Argents Mead Park, or maybe that should be Jurassic Park as a 4x4 from the franchise is on display (dinosaurs not included!). MODS Shaping a generation exhibition at Leicester`s New Walk Museum tells the story of the MOD Scene in 1960`s Leicester & Nottingham including exclusive first-hand eye witness accounts, archive material and unpublished images. The exhibition also celebrates the 40th anniversary of the release of The Who’s cult Mod film, Quadrophenia, and includes items and original 1960’s clothing as seen in the film which has been provided by designer Roger K Burton. My film takes viewers on a tour of the exhibition and some of its highlights, look out for scooters from Leicestershire Alliance Scooter Club and some groovy clothing from the era on the recreated Ready Steady Go stage.

Mods Ride Out - The Counting House to New Walk Museum

As part of the launch weekend for the Mods Shaping a Generation exhibition at New Walk Museum in Leicester, several scooter groups from the region and beyond met at the counting house pub before a mass ride out to the Museum, to display their customized scooters to the public. My film begins outside the counting house where the mods congregated ready for the short ride out to the museum. Soon with the familiar sound of their engines filling our ears and the smell of 2 stroke they arrive outside the locally famous columned frontage of the New Walk Museum where crowds had gathered to see the spectacle and maybe reminisce of past experiences.
