Wembley Road FA Cup Sign
Originally named by a Mr David Edwards (a City Engineer) as a way to wish good luck to Leicester City in a 1969 FA Cup game at the historic stadium, The Wembley Road forms part of a sporting themed naming scheme for the then newly built Braunstone Frith Industrial Estate.
Leicester City lost the final in 1969 but 50+ years later in 2021 a historic win for the team gave an opportunity to dedicate the sign to the FA Cup win it was intended to mark.
In 2022 the sign was unveiled by club ambassador Alan Birchenall and Mr David Edwards.
