Several months in the making this film takes a look at a selection of the heard of Elephants that appeared across Leicester this summer to draw attention to and raise vital funds for the work of Leicesters @LorosHospice. The herd of 40 giant Elephants and 82 Baby Elephants stampeded around Leicester from 14th July. challenging visitors to Discover them all before 21st September when they will be returned to the hospice to be auctioned to those wishing for something a bit more unique for their garden than the average Gnome !. Stomp Round Leicester sees LOROS Hospice and Wild in Art join together to create the BIGGEST art trail the city has ever seen to raise vital funds for the hospice as it celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2025. Whilst I did visit EVERY Elephant on the trail this film contains a selection hoping to give a overview of the trail at a number of Leicesters recognisable locations around the city, from the newly opened Jewry Wall Museum to the Space Center and Leicester Museum on New Walk, to The King Power Stadium home of Leicester City FC and The Highcross Shopping Center. Jewry Wall - A Real Roman Experience

Mars, War & Peace

After successful displays of Museum Of The Moon and Gaia aka Earth, (See previous videos on this website), Artist  Luke Jerram brings Mars War & Peace to the Leicester Cathedral . The #MarsArtwork, Like his previous pieces uses high resolution images of the planets surface mapped in scale onto a inflated sphere giving the viewer a sense of the grandeur and scale of the real planet and a chance in this sacred space to contemplate our place in the universe. Leicester Cathedral has always lead the way in hosting artworks within it's impressive space, a beautiful space, recently refurbished and extended, that with it`s tall stone columns, roof held up by golden angels and own grandeur complements the other worldly artwork hanging inside. Mars War & Peace is at the Leicester Cathedral from 16th May - 8th June 2025.
