The Victory Show takes place every year at Foxlands farm in the Leicestershire Village of Cosby. The Show features a re-enactment of a wartime battle alongside an 'Camp' featuring a number military vehicles and an air show. This video features the 'Tents & Tanks' that make up the military camp area of the show. I have given the video an epic feel reminiscent of the Hollywood movie style of the time seen in classic films such as Casablanca and Brief Encounter

This video features the battle re-enactment with its explosions and cast of dedicated re-enactors who work hard to put on such an amazing display each year. I have given the film a vintage look and a 'letterbox' format to give an idea of the dramatic action taking place.

Designed for a charity Garden Party held in aid of Leicester based charity Menphys this poster (designed by me) uses a Retro 1950`s style typeface and pastel colour scheme. At the base of the poster I have used negative space to suggest grass, The design also features two ladybirds sitting on both the letter G and atop the box containing the main event details they look toward each other as if they are engaged in conversation at a party. I have included a QR code at the bottom of the poster linking to a map allowing people to receive directions to the event using their smartphone.

This short film features two Pannier Tank engines (7752 & 9600) as they speed full steam through Narborough station on their way to Leicester. I have given the video a deliberately cinema style effect evocative of classics such as brief encounter etc, the cropped image also highlights the drama of the trains as they speed past.

Designed for a charity Psychic Night in aid of Menphys this poster uses a cool blue colour palette and a typeface that has echoes of fairground and sideshows The letter P contains a spiral hinting at a mystical secret about to be revealed. The mystical/celestial theme continues throughout the rest of the design with stars and a moon. The star burst in the background is a nod to the theatrical nature of the event and draws the viewers attention into the writing in the centre.   

My video shows a spectators eye view of the Olympic Sailing in Weymouth in which TeamGB Sailor Ben Ainslie won a Gold medal. The sun was shining brightly over seaside town of Weymouth and The Nothe where hundreds of people had gathered to watch the action on the water, with a full days racing ahead they where not disappointed as they watched Ainslie power into the gold medal position.

A spectators eye view of the Men's Olympic cycling road race as Bradley Wiggins and Team GB lead the Peloton up Strawbell slope, The slope is part of the National Trusts Zig Zag road at Box Hill in Surrey. My short film shows only a small section of the whole course which started and finished on the mall in the centre of London, The cyclists completing 9 laps of the Box Hill course as part of the bigger race. Keep a look out for Richard Long's art work 'The Road River' painted onto the road beneath the cyclists.

My view of the spectacular fireworks that signalled the start of the London 2012 Olympic Games. Filmed from just outside the Olympic park the stadium is dwarfed by Anish Kapoor`s Orbit tower. During the final moments of slumdog millionaire director Danny Boyle`s 'Isles of Wonder' Opening ceremony the tower signalled the start of the games with a ring of fireworks from its roof this was closely followed by a spectacular display from the atop of the stadium itself which answered with a show of colour, movement and a barrage of loud bangs and noise as it illuminated the East London sky.

The Eiffel Tower located on the Champ de Mars in Paris, is named after the engineer Gustave Eiffel, who designed and built the tower. The tower was Erected in 1889 as the entrance arch to the 1889 World's Fair and has become both a global cultural icon of France and one of the most recognizable structures in the world. My video filmed in the early morning shows the tower from various angles and demonstrates how the tower dominates the Parisian skyline so spectacularly, It also almost seems to glow against the blue sky in the morning sun.

The roundabout at the Arc de Triomphe in Paris is notoriously difficult (for those not used to it) to navigate. The roundabout has no lanes and as such gives the impression of Chaos !. My film (filmed from the passenger seat whilst my Dad did the driving) gives a front seat view of the madness as we enter and exit the roundabout .

Designed for a charity fundraising event at Belvior Lodge this poster is primarily typeface lead with an Art Deco style header and a sans serif typeface for the additional information to giving it a formal but playful style. The text is crowned by sketched flowers (as one may see above an entry gate to an open garden) and features various small birds perched amoungst the foliage, a mother and child bird can be seen on the bottom left alongside the words accompanied children free. The poster uses a justified layout for the text allowing for lots of information to be presented in a clear and easily read form and highlighting the main points.

A Poster designed by me for Rileys Sandwich bar to promote an event celebrating 5 years of business. The event raised funds for local charity Menphys and features a giant club sandwich with various fillings in a block printed style with the Riley's logo attached to a skewer at the top of the stack. The Teen typeface is used to give a clear but fun style and the footer is consistent with other posters for Menphys events. 

A poster designed for a curry evening at the cuisine of India restaurant in aid of Leicester charity Menphys and inspired by Bollywood movie posters, my design uses a colour palette of deep purples and oranges closely associated with Asian culture. The typeface used is embellished with decorative scrolls echoing the patterns used in sari materials. The Poster also features a series of petal shapes forming a border above and below the main section of the poster which are then also used to form a flower pattern behind the text.
