The poster for the 2011 Menphys Walk keeps the basic graphical layout from previous years and updates it to highlight the fact that this is the 30th year of the event. The Menphys walk is an annual sponsored walk in aid of the Leicester based charity Menphys and raises much needed funds to help them continue their work supporting children and young people with disability's.

The Severn Bore is a tidal bore seen on the tidal reaches of the River Severn in the UK many people come to see the rare sight of a wave travelling upstream against the flow of the river and its is a magnet for surfers and water sports enthusiasts who challenge themselves to ride the potentially 2 metre (7 ft) high wave as it goes by. This is my video of the bore that took place on 20th February 2011

This image was created on my phone using an app called percolator can you guess the well known football mascot giving me the thumbs up ?.

I was asked to design a poster for Great Central Railway`s Winter Steam Gala the design needed to fit in with the period settings of the various stations and their collection of classic railway posters but also stand out when displayed away from this environment. My design (like the classic posters) focuses on text with a photographic image reduced to basic cut out colours relegated to a supporting role The blues and whites of the poster directly reference the winter time period of the event and the sharp angles the forward dynamism of the train moving directly toward the viewer. Every Christmas table needs place cards this years place cards designed by me feature each persons name in silver lettering with doodled objects and pattens surrounding each letter in white. The lettering and doodles are complemented with a duck egg blue background and printed on marble effect card stock. Each card will be held in a metal holder with a small diamond inset into it. Merry Christmas Everyone......

Whilst walking with my camera I came upon this scene looking like it had been taken right out Narnia book  this amazing view was captured by me down by a river in Narborough (Leicestershire) as frost and -7*C temperatures grip most of the UK and Narborough !.

Video From this years Great Leicester Charity Santa Run in Victoria Park Leicester. The event held annually in Leicester is in aid of the charity When You Wish Upon A Star who make dreams come true for sick Children and involves a lap of the park dressed in a Santa costume of elf hat. The final stage of the FIA World Rally Championship season held in Wales in the UK between 11-14 November 2010. This video filmed on the last day at the Cardiff bay ceremonial finish and Rally HQ features a selection of the cars and drivers from the 2010 season and the winners Sébastien Loeb Monaco Daniel Elena.

Stoney Cove a diving centre in Leicestershire puts on a firework display annualy arround guy Fawkes night on November 5th. The site used to be a open pit quarry and so the sound reverberates around the walls with fireworks launched from all angles !. This video from 2009 is a taster of what is usualy a very spectacular display

A short film shot at Bradgate Park Leicestershire featuring the wild deer that live in the park. Filmed at sunrise the stags could be herd calling all around as they fought each other for control of the heard.

These monster sized pumpkins are all set to be carved into a variety of grusome and freakish designs ready for Halloween. Spooky!.

2010 is the 125th anniversary of Blackpool's famous electric trams - one of the very first in the world and the first in the UK. Various events took place to celebrate the fact including an Anniversary Week from 23 to 29 September. Creative Boom (a creative industry online magazine) have just had a big re-design of both their main site and regional hubs and I designed the banner for the Leicester hub. As Leicester is well known for its past as a major player in the material manufacturing business I`ve based the design around a swirl of cloth framing the instantly recognisable Leicester landmark The Clock Tower.
