On the opening weekend of the exhibition, Punk, Rage and Revolution at Leicester`s New Walk Museum members of two local scooter clubs (Leicestershire Alliance Scooter Club and Treakle Town Scooter Club) brought their scooters to a meet up outside the museum. On display where scooters of many types and designs with artwork depicting various themes from Punk itself through to sports and brands such as Vans. in my film we see the scooters lined up and being viewed by visitors before they start their engines and ride away to further adventures.

A look at a postbox topper created by a Newbold Verdon resident. Appearing on a postbox on the villages Main Street, the topper features four Kings Guards protecting a crown on a beige base. The work was part of decorations throughout the village to mark the Coronation of King Charles III. 

Join us at the Abbey Pumping Station as it`s resident narrow gauge engine Leonard is called upon to pull a special service for the coronation of King Charles III. The little green engine, which runs around the perimeter of the pumping station site, was decked out in bunting and featured a specially created headboard proclaiming it to be the King Charles III Coronation Express. Filmed onboard and trackside we see Leonard make his way from the station and around the site with both the spectacular Abbey Pumping Station building (featured in previous films on this channel) and the modern space-age National Space Center rocket tower nearby visible to passengers. At the end of the line engine is decoupled and pulls the express back to its starting point bunting waving in the wind as it steam`s along. The Barwell Yarnbombers are back with a #Coronation themed #Yarnbomb in the center of Barwell village in Leicestershire. Featuring woolly recreations of Big Ben, Beefeaters and even the Golden State coach among the bollard toppers, this right royal display is fit for a king, rendered here in his royal robes, St Edward's crown and with Queen Camilla by his side. Also putting in an appearance with his marmalade sandwich to hand is Paddington Bear and several Kings guards.

The Syston Knitting Banksy (SKB) returns with another spectacular creation. The elusive Syston Knitting Banksy or SKB regularly creates knitted artworks related to current events and to mark special occasions. With King Charles III upcoming coronation the artist has depicted the new king on his throne with Crown, Orb and Sceptre atop a postbox in the village of Syston in Leicestershire. Full of accurate details the piece features recreations of the St Edward's Crown used in the Coronation service itself, the Golden cloak which represents the Robe Royal and featuring the national emblems of the UK. The chair is a wooly duplicate of the coronation chair commissioned by Edward 1st in 1296, it also features a gray area representing the "Stone Of Scone" used for centuries in the coronation of scottish monarchs.

The annual celebration of the story of St George comes to Orton Square in Leicester`s cultural quarter. Featuring knights on stilts, Allin Kempthorne and his baby dragon (as seen on Britain's Got Talent), Traditional Maypole Dancing, Bill Brookman and Friends and St George himself among the attractions this event has something for all the family.
