A otherwise bland corridor in Leicester`s Highcross Shopping Centre has been transformed into a spectacular celebration of Leicesters Iconic faces and places by the well known Graffwerk Street Art collective in the city.
Featuring well known faces with links to the city the work features the likes of Sir David Attenborough and Sue Townsend alongside more modern icons such as Kasbians Serge Pizzorno and Mahalia.
There are also references to St Georges Tower and its record breaking artwork the Old Town Festival, Diwali, Naga Kirtan and the Caribbean Festival which also features its founder Elvy Morton.
With Kind permission from Highcross I took a closer look at the artwork shortly after it had been unveiled to the public.
A special thank you to Highcross and their Customer Service Team for granting me permission to film the artwork and create this short video.
