Red Kite Feeding Time Gigrin Farm Wales

At Gigrin Farm, Red Kite Feeding & Rehabilitation Centre in Wales Feeding takes place at 2pm (last weekend in October onwards) 3pm ( from the last weekend in March). The Crows are usually first on the scene followed by Buzzards and Red Kites competing for the best cuts of meat. The birds demonstrate spectacular feats of aerial manoeuvrability as they swoop low to capture the food in their claws, The birds then proceed to eat their newly acquired meal in-flight before diving down again for another helping. My short film features the view from hide 5 as the food is brought to the birds in the back of a tractor and illustrates the amazing spectacle of these very special birds in flight. Keep a look out for the rare white bird during the video. See Below for stills from the day A Red Kite In-Flight A Panoramic Photo showing the hides on the left and the feeding area on the right.

Wistow Diamond Jubilee Event Poster

Designed to promote a charity event centred around the Queens Diamond Jubilee celebrations at Wistow Rural Centre in Leicestershire this poster uses the instantly recognisable Union Jack flag as its background. The Flag`s famous lines are echoed by the use of a simple sans serif typeface and patriotic colour scheme of Red, White, Blue & Yellow (standing in for gold in this instance). The type is centre aligned with a crown at the top in a deliberate nod toward the modern resurgence of the Keep Calm And Carry On posters. The Campaign saw this poster reproduced in a number of sizes from A5 through to A3 & displayed in a number of locations around the local area of Wistow, A simple easy to read style was needed that could be easily reproduced across the various sizes without loosing the message.

The Queens Diamond Jubilee - Thames Pageant

On 3rd June 2012 hundreds of boats formed a flotilla to escort HRH Queen Elizabeth II on a pageant along the River Thames as part of her Jubilee Celebrations. The flotilla was headed by the man powered Gloriana followed (later on) by the Royal Family aboard the new Royal Barge Spirit Of Chartwell. In all more than 1,000 vessels took part in the event and my video filmed from the banks of the river shows just a few of them as they pass alongside the houses of parliament and beneath Westminster bridge.
