Around Wistow

A look at the wildlife and scenery in and around the Leicestershire village of Wistow, look out for the beautiful Grade 2 listed St Luke's church in Newton Harcourt surrounded by snowdrops and a pair of acrobatic squirrels perched precariously on the end of a branch. Leicestershire Floods

A look at the flooded fields in the whistle meadows area of Leicestershire. After several days of heavy rain the fields around Narborough, Croft and Huncote known as Whistle Meadows due to the disused railway (whistle way) than runs alongside, became flooded after the river soar burst its banks. The flooded fields stretch away into the distance broken only by the Leicester to Birmingham railway line and the occasional tree, gate or fence. Ducks and wildlife usually confined to the river boundaries can be seen throughout enjoying the extra space. Images Follow

GCR Classic & Vintage Vehicle Club Logo

A Look into the creation of a logo for the GCR Classic & Vintage Vehicle Club, Including the incorporation of various vintage sign writing and railway elements. Logo Development Initial concept logo designs for the Great Central Railway Classic & Vintage Vehicle Club Logo the brief called for a logo that worked when reproduced in both full color and black and white. The logo needed to have a vintage style and visual link to the railway at which it is based this is was achieved using a vintage wheel and the link to the railway by using a ribbon and railway nameplate style for the clubs name, the railways logo is also included as a key part of the design. read on for the final design
