The Boot Route Countesthorpe

The Boot Route in Countesthorpe is a take on the traditional scarecrow festival during which residents of the Leicestershire village are tasked with decorating the open car boots (trunks) of their cars or house fronts around a theme.  The theme of the event in 2022 was "Through Time" giving the residents much scope to create all sorts of interesting displays featuring everything from dinosaurs (with real smoke) egyptian mummy cars and even a whole train set in one car !. There's always time for a smile.

The Victory Show 2022

The annual wartime era reenactment event The Victory Show took place at Foxlands Farm in Cosby over the 2nd, 3rd and 4th of September. Featuring hundreds of reenactor and living history groups the event is one of the largest of its kind in the UK. The Victory Show features a woodland skirmish and battlefield recreation with troops, vehicles and loud explosions giving crowds a feel for warfare during this era. My film takes a look at the event and displays both in the woods and in the camp before moving to the airfield to see various planes on display. We end with a Hawker Hurricane waiting to take off and head back to its home base.

The beatles arrived in a classic green car and we took a trip to the club tropicana. There was a Newsflash when the BBC (which celebrates its 100 year centenary in 2022) inspired one creator who turned their front gard...
