The Duke Of Lancaster AKA The Funship

My short film takes a look at The Duke Of Lancaster also known as The Funship. The TSS Duke of Lancaster is a railway steamer passenger ship that operated from 1956 to 1979. The ship currently beached at Llanerch-y-Mor near Mostyn Docks, on the River Dee, north-east Wales has had a varied history being used as a cruise ship and later as a car ferry in various locations. The Ship was converted and run as a static leisure centre and market known as the Funship for many years before various issues caused its closure. The Ship is now being developed as the largest open air art gallery in the UK and is used as canvas for Graffiti artists with a number of large Artworks painted on the side of the ship including a portrait of the ship's first captain, John 'Jack' Irwin.
