Leicester Castle Classic 2017

The annual Castle Classic race in Leicester part of the national elite road series features top level riders taking in a 80km race around a 4km course that is famed for being fast and technical. The course lists Leicester Castle, The Mile Straight and King Power Stadium home of Leicester City among its route landmarks. The Start/Finish line in 2017 was at Bede park and as always the race was fast and exiting. A number of top UK teams where on show including Team Wiggins, Raleigh, NFTO and JLT Condor My short film aims to capture the atmosphere and speed of the race beginning in race HQ before heading to the start line and following the race as it speeds though the recently restored Leicester Castle cheered on by spectators and the sound of the bells of Church of St Mary de Castro. The film finishes back where it started at bede park and a champagne soaking on the winners podium with Connor Swift of Madison Genesis the winner of this years race.

GCR Beer Festival & Pistons & Pumps Festival - Great Central Railway

A couple of posters and flyers designed for The Great Central Railways Beer Festival and Pistons And Pumps festival which runs concurrently. The posters advance ideas from previous poster designs and introduce some new ones too. You will notice the chimney of the train is a beer glass and with the logo of the event on the smoke box door the whole design evokes the pumps familiar to any regular pub goer look out also for several pistons hidden in the design. More information at this link .

Snapshots - Leicestershire Wheat Field

Leigh984 Snapshots are short videos etc in which I look at a particular topic or visual idea, in this film I look at the movement of a wheat field in the breeze. I`ve always found the movement of wheat blowing in the wind to be quite amazing the whole field almost seems to move as one like a body of water. In this snapshot I look at this movement in a Leicestershire field beneath a blue sky. Also look out for a wind turbine and a splash of color from poppies dotted among the wheat.
