The John Merricks Tiger Trophy at Rutland Water

I travelled to Rutland Water to watch Olympic gold medallist Chris Draper in his Moth type yacht compete against over 200 competitors in the 21st Rutland Challenge for the John Merricks Tiger Trophy. The trophy is a pursuit type race in which various classes of yacht compete against each other with a handicap (the Moths set out last as they are the fastest). The yachts completed a course around Rutland Water with good wind and beneath a crisp clear blue winter sky. My film features highlights of the action on and off the water and follows the Olympic gold medallist as he prepares his Moth for the race before taking to the water. images follow

The London-Surrey Classic Bike Race 2013

My short film joins several pro-cyclists as they arrive at The Oueen Elizabeth Olympic Park for the inaugural Prudential Ride London-Surrey Classic bike race which took place on 4th August 2013. After crossing the start line the cyclists followed a 140 mile variation on the London 2012 Olympic Road Cycling Race route through 12 London boroughs and the county of Surrey with a finish line on the Mall in central London. My film concludes with the race winner Arnaud Demare taking to the podium with Buckingham Palace and The Mall bathed in orange evening sunlight as his backdrop. Don't forget to keep watching during the credits for a comedic turn from two performers at the Olympic Park. (choose read more for images from the event)

The Olympic Flame Torch Relay visits the Summit of Mt Snowdon

On 29th May 2012 the Olympic Torch Relay reached its highest point visiting the summit of Mt Snowdon in Wales. The Torch was carried to the summit aboard a Snowdon Mountain Railway steam engine with the Everest mountaineer Sir Chris Bonington who then carried the flame the final few meters to the summit of the mountain cheered by an enthusiastic crowd of supporters waving welsh and union jack flags. The Steam engine and its precious cargo then travelled back down the mountain to continue its journey to London for the 2012 Olympic Games.
