My short film takes a look at The Duke Of Lancaster also known as The Funship. The TSS Duke of Lancaster is a railway steamer passenger ship that operated from 1956 to 1979. The ship currently beached at Llanerch-y-Mor near Mostyn Docks, on the River Dee, north-east Wales has had a varied history being used as a cruise ship and later as a car ferry in various locations. The Ship was converted and run as a static leisure centre and market known as the Funship for many years before various issues caused its closure. The Ship is now being developed as the largest open air art gallery in the UK and is used as canvas for Graffiti artists with a number of large Artworks painted on the side of the ship including a portrait of the ship's first captain, John 'Jack' Irwin. My film features various cycling teams as they prepare for and race stage 4 of the 2013 Tour Of Britain bike race from Stoke-on-Trent to Llanberis. We begin with the bikes being set up for racing before following them as they pass under fla mme rouge (A red flag displayed with one kilometre remaining from the finish line of a race) before passing the Snowdon Mountain Railway station in Llanberis and on to the finish line in the Welsh town. After the race we follow the riders and the teams as the wash the bikes down ready to race stage 5 the next day.

I was given a rare opportunity to explore the disused area beneath the former Leicester Corporation Tramways Edwardian District Tram Depot during their Heritage Open Days event. Hidden below ground level the disused dark and dusty space makes for a spooky atmosphere of cobwebs, dark rooms and shows many echoes of its past as both a tram and bus depot. The area was originally used to repair and service the trams during the depots working life but after having a concrete floor installed has remained untouched for many years before the LTHT took over the lease of the building. photos follow

My short film from The 2013 Victory Show features the epic set piece World War 2 battle re-enactment featuring tanks soldiers and explosions. Hundreds watched as the Allied forces moved across the battlefield in Cosby to holt the German troops advance, with loud explosions, smoke and dust the visibility was poor but the troops pushed forward. In the second of my films from The 2013 Victory Show I take a look at the aircraft displays at that help to make it one of the biggest WW2 events in the UK. The air show featured many vintage aircraft such as the Carolyn Grace Spitfire ML407 and the Trig Aerobatics Team, Also making an appearance where the Royal Air Force Acrobatic team The Red Arrows with the weekends flying concluding with a ground shaking display of speed and power from the Eurofighter typhoon. The Victory Show now in its 8th year features a battle re-enactment a large selection of living history displays and an air show. In the first of my films from the 2013 show I take a look at the static displays and the military vehicles that play a big part in making The Victory Show one of the biggest WW2 events in the UK.

My film features a selection of the works on display during the 2013 Sculpture In The Garden exhibition which has been held annually since 2002 in the beautiful surroundings of the University Of Leicester Botanical Gardens and features a selection of contemporary sculptures by prominent international artists. This years theme was A Change Of Heart and looks at the artists relationship with their materials. The exhibition is free to visit (except during special event days) and runs from June 30th to 27th October 2013 and has been Curated by Almuth Tebbenhoff FRBS. photos follow

My video features Action from Act 6 of the Extreme Sailing Series. Cardiff Bay provided perfect 'Stadium Style' viewing opportunities for the fast paced Extreme Sailing Series held over the August Bank Holiday, As the only UK based event on the series calendar the event attracted visitors from far and wide who where treated to plenty of action as teams from around the world competed in several high speed races. The action was so exiting even a well known Doctor materialised his time machine on the shoreline to take in the action ! see if you can spot it. photos follow

The Severn Bore is a tidal bore seen on the tidal reaches of the River Severn in England. The bore is popular with surfers who come from far and wide to ride this rare river wave, It forms upstream of Sharpness, and can be seen as far as Maisemore and on particularly high tides has been known to reach Upper Lode Lock below Tewkesbury. My film (Surfing the Severn Bore) features the evening bore of Wednesday 21st August 2013 and shows the bore approaching and passing before continuing its journey upriver carrying many surfers as it goes. The largest recorded bore was on 15 October 1966, which reached a height of 9.2 feet (2.8 m).

My film features cycling action from the first ever Leicester Castle Classic Professional Bike Race. The 20 lap race took place on 18th August 2013 around a route that took in some well known landmarks of the city of Leicester, From the start/finish line at Bede Park on Western Boulevard the route took the riders into old Leicester though the tight cobblestoned medieval gateways and lanes the area is known for, The route then looped back onto Western Boulevard before making a sharp left crossing the river soar and continuing down to the King Power football stadium home of Leicester City FC before retuning to Bede Park. The race was preceded by a 'Shoppers and Choppers' race and a 'Corporate challenge' both open to the general public. Photos follow below
